How?
In Person Registration
Simply inform your doctor, nurse, or our receptionist that you wish to register our practice and your doctor as your preferred providers in the MyMedicare program. We handle everything from there, making it quick and easy for you.
Online Registration
Begin the registration process via your Medicare Online Account or through the Express Plus Medicare Mobile app. Once you indicate your preference for our practice and chosen doctor, we will finalise your registration in the MyMedicare system.
What are the benefits?
Extended Telehealth Services
Enjoy longer telehealth consultations subsidised by Medicare, providing you with greater flexibility and access to healthcare.
Enhanced Aged Care Support
If you reside in an aged care home, nominating our practice as your MyMedicare practice from August 2024 enables us to offer more frequent and comprehensive healthcare visits, ensuring you receive the care you need when you need it.
Support for Chronic Disease Management
Starting November 2024, Medicare will provide funding for services essential in managing chronic diseases exclusively to patients who have registered their preferred doctor and practice under the MyMedicare program.
Flexibility
MyMedicare does not restrict you to a specific doctor. You have the freedom to change your preferred doctor within Wahroonga Medical Centre anytime, or even switch to a different registered practice if needed.
Financial Incentives
For individuals under 16, pensioners, or concession card holders, our practice receives additional subsidisation if our doctors bulk bill you for specific services, including extended telehealth consultations. This incentive encourages bulk billing, potentially reducing your healthcare costs.
Security
Rest assured, all your clinical information remains secure on our servers and within your MyHealthRecord, as MyMedicare does not store any clinical data.
